"Reality leaves a lot
to the imagination."
“Imagination is more
important than knowledge.”
“The man who has no
imagination has no wings.”
“There is no life I know to
compare with pure imagination.”
“Sometimes it is the people who
no one imagines anything of,
who can do the things
no one can imagine.”
“You can't do it unless
you can imagine it.”
“I only hope we don't lose sight
of one thing —
that it was all started by a mouse.”
“Imagination is a muscle;
use it or lose it. The more you
exercise it, the stronger it grows.
… And it’s the only kind of
exercise that’s fun.”
Imagination Day
There ought to be a holiday,
To fete imagination.
We’d celebrate its playful charm,
Its harmless relaxation.
Imagination makes us young,
Believing we can fly,
Among its countless fantasies,
We do what ‘ere we try.
Imagination liberates
From all confines of thought,
Our mind let loose from all abuse
Imposed by what we’re taught.
Instead we picture anything
Our hearts would like to see,
Let logic go beyond the winds,
And every wish is free.
Imagination frees our souls,
From worry, care, or tears.
We live for just a moment,
Outside the real world’s fears.
To live among illusions
If only for a while,
Imagination conjures up
Whatever makes us smile.
A celebration is long due,
So let me lead the way,
I hereby do proclaim March Fourth
Imagination Day.
(because that’s my birthday!)
